during the planning of joji’s Smithereens tour 2022, lux aeterna was tasked with building a lighting reactive trebuchet to shoot t-shirts into the audience during the show.

in 2023 joji asked for a bigger one.

styled after japanese dekotora trucks, the trebuchet is lined with pixel bar fixtures, as well as architectural lighting and even headlights. during operation, the trebuchet arm triggers a different chase, or lighting look. It can also be operated by Dmx from any lighting console.
