SET LIGHTING AND DESIGN
Rich Brian came to us after the release of his Amen album and the conclusion of his successful (and first) US tour for his first late night talk show performance. The Late Late Show with James Corden was gracious enough to let us implement the record label’s vision, along with their art department.
Fitting the size of their vision onto the relatively small performance area was a welcomed hurdle: 3 lighting levels, along with 3 types of fog/haze, and a projection element. While the art department subtly masked a 5000 lumen projector behind a reel to reel protector, we went to dress the set with a floor package, a mid level package to shine through the windows and bedroom elements of the set, and an overhead lighting grid for added drama and specials. Likewise, we got to explore atmosphere from haze to heavy fog beneath the bed, and a medium fog for background. It was a great experience to work with Brian and his team, in conjunction with the broadcast production team.
