OPeN YOGA STUDIO

OPEN is a boutique Yoga and Meditation application and network, dedicated to serving small and private classes remotely, through their app and infrastructure. They came to us while they were planning to build out their studio, with interest in lighting, specifically driven by natural and daytime lighting transitions. This project was great because we got to dig in on VERY specific looks, emulating anything from daylight to sunset looks, and beyond, into more creative stage-type looks for musical events from artists like John Carroll Kirby and more. 

Our good friends at MS Event Production provided the truss build over the permanent set, which gave us a great infrastructure to select soft panels and movers for more intricate motion over time. We ended up sourcing a few Rayzr 7 MC 200 Soft Panels, as well several Maverick MkII moving spots for the personnel at OPEN. The resulting combination within the studio was more than we could have asked for. Once installed into the grid, we spent weeks tweaking, adjusting, and dialing in programming within GrandMA on PC to emulate long changes of lighting throughout the class, to further the impact of the private client experience. Similarly, we could dial in more functional looks for shorter, focused meditation, and a few “Staged” looks to accommodate harpists, electronic performers, and more types of programming. OPEN was a great, creative team to work with in building out this ambitious platform and studio.
